Chinatown in Singapore during Chinese New Year over the years

A slideshow view of the atmosphere from Temple Street from the past to the future.

I remember the days when Chinatown was bustling with festive joy during Chinese New Year. The streets were adorned with red lanterns, banners, and flowers. The air was filled with the aroma of delicacies, the sound of firecrackers, and the laughter of children. We would visit our relatives and friends, exchange greetings and red packets, and enjoy the lion dance and dragon dance performances.

Today, Chinese New Year in Chinatown is still as bustling with as many people wanting to join in the festivities and soak in the atmosphere. This connects me with memories of the past and brings hope for a better future, when we can reunite with our loved ones and celebrate the new year with happiness and health.
